A Busy Weekend

This weekend (after a very late night of New Moon) we got ready for McKenna's first girls' choice dance. Her group of 8 people had dinner at our house and my dad and Chase made dutch oven dinner for them. Mom & I helped a little bit, but Chase is the real Sous chef! Dad, Chase, & I also managed to slip away to the University to take some pictures to send out with my graduation announcements. They got quite a few good pictures.

Then we watched a movie while McKenna's group ate dinner, then got the left overs! Then I spent a lot of time getting my announcements ready to send out! Wahoo! Only a few weeks left!

New Moon

So the most unlikely 3 people ended up at New Moon on opening day at midnight. My roommate wanted us to go, but I was going to be out of town, so she and Chelsea got tickets. Then I figured out that I was going to be in town so they got me a ticket as well. Then my roommate decided on Friday morning that she didn't feel very good and went home for the week. We asked McKenna to go with us but then Chelsea decided that she didn't really want to go either, so McKenna's friend ended up coming with us. We had all decided that we would probably see the movie, just not in theaters and especially not on opening day. It was kind of funny that we all ended up there.
The movie was pretty good and I think we all enjoyed it even if we did pay for it the next day! 3:00 am is late! :)

My Life is Upside Down

Well, not only has it been crazy in my life with practicum and homework, but our apartment sprang a leak and was threatening to flood us out! They ripped out the wet carpet & pad until we could find where the leak was and fix it. The apartment has been like this for a little over a week. On Monday they were able to find the leak (by punching large holes in our walls and removing our cupboards) and fixed it. Once the walls dry out, they will fix our holes, rehang our cupboards and we will be getting new carpet! Yipee! It feel almost impossible to function in my apartment, but we will be so grateful when everything is put back together and we get new carpet!
Like our counters? They are doubling as cupboard space right now!
Thanksgiving is almost on us!! This means after that, I only have a week of classes and finals left and then I graduate! I'm so excited to be done!
