Christmas

Christmas this year was wonderful, despite the fact that I had a sinus infection and strep. On the 22nd we had our Christmas party with the Griffiths family and enjoyed good food and company. The Sunday before Christmas I got to teach the Christmas story, from the perspective of the Book of Mormon to my Primary class. I didn't have to work on Christmas Eve this year and so I spent the day babysitting Carson. Then we played Monopoly and went to bed. Since Chelsea is married, Christmas day is a little bit different than it used to me, but it was still great! I got super spoiled!

Santa brought me a body pillow and a little massage pillow. I also got a gift certificate to get my hair done. I got new scissors, a keyboard for my iPad and a MICHE bag! It was a great Christmas! We got to watch Carson open gifts and experience his first Christmas with him. We also had a white Christmas this year since a storm came in and dumped lots of snow on Christmas Eve and also the day after Christmas.

2012 in Review

As this is the last week of 2012, I have been thinking back on the last year. The biggest thing that happened in my life this year is that I became an aunt! My life has changed A LOT since Carson arrived and it has been fantastic! I LOVE being an aunt and I love my monkey!
Other things:
- My shop had its 1 year anniversary
-Nannied for a new family that was awesome!
-Had a lot less medical tests than 2011
-Got my first cavity (like 5 of them!) :(
- I did my first craft fairs and got to meet new people
-I finished all of my cake decorating classes and began decorating cakes for the family birthday parties
- I got to redecorate the room upstairs and move to the bigger room
- I got to teach the Valiant 9 class in Primary in a new ward to me
-Did a wedding cake
-Sold my first item to Australia!
-Got to go to the Brigham City Temple Open House & attend the dedication
-I started working at Embroidery Central part time
- I started teaching 3 new students and go to River Heights to teach them
- I finished scanning old pictures of me and made my memory books
-Got asked to MY company party :)
-Dad became the Bishop of our ward

I know there are a lot more things, these are just the ones that stand out to me! It has been a good year and I'm hoping the next will be just as good if not better!

Kaela did our family pictures again this year! We did it just a few weeks earlier than last year so we weren't quite so cold...

She did such a great job!

12.12.12

I guess today is kind of a special day, it will be quite a while before we have another one of these! It is the 12th day of the 12th month in the 12th year. Perhaps I will have to make a wish at 12:12. You can't get luckier than that right?
Well at 12:12 I was driving and actually hoping and praying that the guy running the red light wouldn't hit me or anyone else! He stopped just in time to avoid a catastrophe! It has been a great day though, I got a Christmas bonus at work and some extra money is always nice and especially during the holidays and when I am having a crown put on my tooth next week!
On Saturday I ordered a grab box from Pick Your Plum. You have to order it right at 7 am or they are gone! This week I got one and today it came! It was like Christmas, you really have no idea what is going to be in the box, but it was great! I felt like I just kept pulling stuff out, like a Mary Poppins box!

This is what was in it: scarf, cupcake boxes, long sleeve shirt, pearl strand, baby girl headband, baby girl boots-a pink pair and a black pair, little linen gift bags, jumbo rick rack-4 different colors, scrapbooking sticker tabs, wood triangle tags, 2 antique style knobs, little girl leg warmers, antique style handles, key door knocker, wood craft spoons, 2 sets of earrings, globe necklace, mini clothes pins, cupcake paper liners, bottlecaps, craft rings, buttons, scrapbook ribbon, and ribbon that says "Happy Holidays from the Andersens".
 HOW COOL IS THAT!?!?!
I made fudge last night and even though it was my first batch of the season, it turned out great! I love it when that happens! This Friday night is our company Christmas party and Kiel is going with me again this year! It will be so fun! Food by Coppermill and the Pickelville Playhouse!

So far....holidays

So far we have had a ward Christmas party and I have got all of my Christmas shopping done and wrapped! The last couple of weeks I have been really busy fulfilling orders from the shop. A gal who had me do a custom blanket for her, had me do another for her last week! I think it may have turned out cuter than the first!
So yesterday was my dad's first whole Sunday as a Bishop, and it was after doing tithing settlements for a week, so some of my primary kids had met him. He hasn't been in this ward since he has been on the high council. When I got to class yesterday Tagg said to everyone, "I met her dad." and then Toby said "Me too.". Then Tagg announced to everyone that I tell him about them. During our singing time, the Bishop slipped in and Tagg got up and walked down the row and said to me, "Your dad is here!" and I told him, "and he is watching you." He gasped and quickly made his way back to his seat! So funny!

Today after work I got to see Carson for a little bit. He has been pulling himself up to things and just going up to his knees, but today he was pulling himself to standing!

He is growing up so fast and I swear he is bigger than when I saw him last week!

Busy, Busy Bee

My shop has been busy lately and it is awesome! The holidays are great for handmade items and the extra money helps me to do gifts for others! On Saturday I was a vendor at the Riverwoods Holiday Gift Show. I did much better than my last craft fair and met some great new friends.

I was right next to the Velata booth. The consultant is from Smithfield and we are thinking we will do a Velata & Scentsy part in January!!! That would be so fun! I also ended up buying a Velata!

Yesterday was a big day for our family. My dad is now the Bishop of our ward. None of us were surprised and we are excited and nervous for the changes this will create in our family. I know that if we support our dad and help him in whatever way we can, our family will be blessed for sacrificing so much of our time with him. His counselors are fantastic and I am friends with both of their wives! Chase is struggling with the reality that we won't see dad as often and that he will probably be released from this calling after Chase goes on his mission.
