Fall Fun

Fall is my most favorite time of year!
On Thursday I got to spend a fun filled day with the boys. Carson didn't have school and I was off work. First I took the boys to Pepperidge Farm, which they call the goldfish store. We got a haul and then picked up Grandma to head to the Pumpkin Walk. I had not been to the Pumpkin Walk since I was a kid and it was really fun to go with the boys! After playing there for a bit, we met Grandpa for lunch. Then we had to go home and watch Space Jam since Cody wanted a picture next to Bugs Bunny, but didn't know who he was! :)
We then finished the day playing in the leaves. It was a fantastic fall day together!

Wow, It has been a while!

I logged on this morning and realized that it has been a long time since I had updated.... I'm not honestly sure why. I don't feel that I have been overly busy.
This week Mom and I took the boys to the Hill Aerospace Museum and then to Build A Bear. We all had a lot of fun! Carson didn't want to go at first because he didn't want to be in the car for that long. When all was done and we were headed back home, he said that everything we did was a lot of fun.

We have so much fun together! I sure love these boys!

Just an Update

I was looking back through the blog and realized just how little I have updated it lately!
Life gets busy, anxiety peaks, I get worn out and all I want to do is sleep. Once the boys leave, I am pretty useless!
Since being back from Disneyland, I have just been working and also creating my Disneyland memories & albums! We had so much fun. We often talk about it and laugh. I am so glad that I got to do this with my brother & sister. All of us want to go back and this time we want to take the boys with us! Crazy? Probably, but also FUN!
Cody was at our house on his birthday this year. He really wanted a monster cake like Heather had shown him, so we had her make one for him. Then she & the kids came over for lunch and a short, little party. Cody got to celebrate for days and days and now he is big! If he will work on potty-training, then preschool is right around the corner. I still look at those boys and wonder how time has gone by so fast and they have grown up so much!

So Spring means that we get super busy at work. To help with this, we lengthen our Saturday hours and I have to work on Saturdays to help with the HUGE amount of phone calls. Can I just say that these are the days that I hate my job? I swear on Saturdays, the jerks and crazies come out and I have to talk to them on the phone. To make matters worse, the guys are so busy helping other phone calls and customers standing in the store that they can't take any more phone calls. Then these people try to act like they are the only person who matters in the world and start to bully. I DON'T handle this well!
I am feeling more comfortable in my role as the primary 1st counselor. I still really don't like conducting or doing sharing time, but somehow I make it through it. I sure love those kids though. They are adorable, funny and sweet. One of my favorite things is to watch as the 3 year old kids sing EVERY word to Gethsemane!

Disneyland

Kenna, Chase & I went to Disneyland for the first time last week! It was so much fun!!! We drove there and back, which headed there sucked, thanks to traffic. We got to do 3 days in the parks and because we stayed so close, we could just walk over to the park! We got about 11 miles a day!
When Kenna & I went to Disney World, we weren't able to go on Splash Mountain because it was closed for refurbishment. It looked like we would miss out on Splash Mountain again in Disneyland, but we didn't! We rode Big Thunder Mountain Railroad, Haunted Mansion, Indiana Jones Adventure, Splash Mountain, Star Tours, Matterhorn Bobsleds, Space Mountain, Guardians of the Galaxy: Mission Breakout, Radiator Springs Racers, Grizzly River Run and Soarin'.

We met Darth Vader, Kylo Ren & Chewbacca (guess that is what happens when you go with a couple of star wars fans!)

We made our way through our Disneyland food bucket list and found some YUMMY treats! I think the Grey Stuff and Boysen Apple Freezes were most favorite, but the Mickey Beignets were really good too!

The week before we got there, they started the Pixar Play parade and Paint the Night Parades as part of their Pixar Fest. The night parade was AMAZING!

We had a blast and were sad to leave when our three days were over. I think it is safe to say that we have caught the Disney bug! Chase kept mentioning how he would love to bring Carson & Cody.

March

It feels as though February and March have FLOWN by.
This year I celebrated my 30th birthday party. Carson & Cody made sure that it was celebrated and that I was able to party. They got me a cake and this cute ladybug plant. We had pizza for lunch and they sang to me. We had a nice afternoon.
Mom, Chase, Dad and I went to Village Inn for dinner for my birthday. My birthday falls on Pi day, so Village Inn gets a bit more crowded anyway, but I didn't even think about it being a Wednesday which is also free pie day at Village Inn, so it was nuts! We all got our free pie for my birthday!

I have a new pet! He is perfect for me: cute & cuddly and easy to take care of!
Sweet Carson has decided that when he grows up, he is going to help baby sea turtles "get out of their holes and to the ocean". He has thought it all out. He even told me that his mom would have to fly to the beach to see him when he grows up. At school this week, they had a career day where they dressed up as their dream job. His mom was very creative and made him this shirt! He loved it. It was really cute and he even wrote her a note telling her how awesome his shirt was and how much he loved her.
