UPDATE: Great Week!

This last week was a great one! It was pretty regular in a lot of ways such as: I worked, I taught piano lessons, I cleaned my room, I worked on CutesieBee stuff, and spent time with my family. There were a few highlights that made it great!

I got to go visit my friend Kayla at her new home in Farmington! I hadn't seen her since her wedding reception almost a year ago and I was missing her terribly. She is expecting her first baby (a girl) and she and her husband recently bought a home. I took the day off work and drove down to see her. Her new house is ADORABLE, she is so cute pregnant, and it was so fun to sit and visit. I have missed her terribly and it was great to be able to catch up and chat face to face! Hopefully we will continue to get together, and not wait a whole year! :)

I had a play date with Kota on Saturday. I took him to the Willow Park Zoo to see the ducks! Those were his favorite. He is sooooo CUTE! Then he came over to my house while his parents went on a date that evening. Our family has so much fun when he comes to play and he especially loves Chase! They are buds.

Kenna moved out this week but since she wasn't really ever at home, it will take a while for that to sink in! A new piano student started this last week, which is always exciting! I actually have an available spot on Tuesday afternoons if you know anyone in Smithfield who is interested in taking piano lessons.
Kenna and my new friend convinced me to stay for our ward linger longer yesterday, which is always an interesting experience to have 100+ YSA crammed in a gym with food! We had a lot of laughs and a good time. Today Kota and his parents stopped by to bring me some lunch since I don't let them pay me for watching him. I find it way too fun to have him over! They shouldn't have to pay me! This week will be a busy one as I have quite a bit of work to do before I leave for Jackson Hole.

Wahoo!!! I am on a Roll!

I am on quite a productivity roll! I don't know what it is, but when Mom, Dad, Chase, and especially the dog leave town, I get SO MUCH done! Here are the projects I did this weekend:
Etsy Stuff

My friend also asked me to make her guest book for her wedding and so I did that too! (This is the friend who I went to the Temple with on Tuesday!)

Here are my other things (that aren't really fun to take pictures of) that I have got done!
  • Checked in the tenants moving in a week early
  • Cleaned the kitchen
  • Watered the flowers
  • Cleaned my room
  • Cleaned the family room
  • Did all the laundry
  • Cleaned out my fish tank
  • Played with Chase's lizard
  • Linked up to Remodelaholic blog
  • Checked & kept up with Edgehill emails
  • Took out all the garbage
  • Chatted with McKenna for a bit
  • Watched 5 episodes of CHUCK {I was working on stuff while I was doing this :)}
  • Worked 5 hours at my regular job
  • Ran Etsy errands
  • Still managed to eat meals!!!
It is only 12:30! I still have lots of time today (before they get home) to do stuff! Here is what I have on my list:
  • Get everything together for piano lessons to start this week (by the way, if you know of anyone in the area who would like to take lessons, I have a couple of openings)
  • Vacuum the basement
  • Clean my bathroom
  • Make some cards and gift tags
  • Go to the grocery store
  • Eat lunch
  • Eat dinner
  • Read my scriptures
  • Play with Dakota (that's right, he is coming over!)
  • Check in the next wave of early move in tenants
  • Maybe watch a movie (we'll see how things go!)
  • I should exercise, so we will see if that one happens. That is usually what I put off forever hoping I won't have to buckle down and do it!

Awesome Experience

I had an awesome experience this week! I had the wonderful opportunity to escort my friend, Anna, as she went to the Logan Temple and received her endowment. I recently did this (in February) and it was so great to have a reminder of everything. It was also so great to be with my friend as she did this. Me, Her future in-laws, and her fiance were with her and she was beautiful. The evening went by much too quickly and I loved every minute of it. I couldn't wipe a smile off my face!

Anna is such a cute, amazing young woman and I'm so excited that she has come this far in the gospel and in life! Her fiance is a great guy and I'm sure that they will be very happy together FOREVER!!!! I'm just so excited for her and proud of her!

After our session, we met her parents at Olive Garden and enjoyed a fun and delicious dinner. I was completely exhausted when I got home and I have never been so happy to be so tired! I won't get to see Anna again before she gets married, and hopefully I will get the opportunity to see her after. (They are moving to Colorado for school) When we started living together in 2008, I never would have thought that I would get the opportunity to be at the temple with her and I never thought we would become as good of friends as we have become. I'm so glad that we did, because she is AWESOME!

YAY Anna and wish you ALL the BEST in the WORLD!!!!

Temples

I LOVE the temple!

Since February, I haven't been as often as I would like, but have loved every opportunity that I have had to go. Yesterday me and a couple of friends went to the Temple before work. What a great way to start the day! The Logan Temple has been closed for the last month for renovations and we were excited to have it back open. I'm also so very excited to go with my friend in a couple of weeks as she goes for the first time, I am even going to be her escort. She is getting married on September 3rd and wanted me to go with her when she went for the first time. I'm so excited!!!!
I love the way I feel when I get to go to the Temple and love the way the rest of my day goes when I go in the morning. Yesterday was a great day!

I'm also very grateful that not only do I have family that I can go to the Temple with, but also friends.

Here are some of my favorite Temples, although the Logan Temple is my favorite. I may be biased as I grew up in it's shadow, went there with my young women group for the first time, also went there for my first time for myself, and that is where my parents were married.

Logan:

San Diego:

Honolulu:

Salt Lake:

The Brigham City Temple is currently being built and I can't wait to go there someday.

As Promised

Here are some pics of the cake I made for my cousin, Ali's birthday and of the awesome beret that I got from Vintage Wanna Bee.
