So this week a few new things happened. I started working another part time job at our sister company. So for the time being I will be working mornings at my regular job, Monday, Wednesday, and Friday afternoons at Embroidery Central and Tuesday and Thursday afternoons will be piano. Then my evenings and weekends will be CutesieBee and cleaning Ipaco along with any of my other responsibilities. Things got crazy busy!!!!

Yesterday I did my first craft fair. I went to the Pioneer Valley Lodge craft fair which I heard is a good one and that they usually hold it on a Saturday, but this year it had to be on a Friday. The turnout was not good so luckily it only cost $15 for a booth. I did spend from 8 until 2:30 there and made $32 which after you take out the booth fee, I didn't even make $3 an hour.... I guess it was a good experience and I did learn about another craft fair while I was there and some people did take my business card. While I was sitting at the craft fair I was wondering if I should do the Lewiston one in November which I have applied to. Then as the day went on and people made comments about how craft fairs are usually packed and this wasn't, I decided to try the Lewiston craft fair before I decide whether they are worth it or not.I did see some people I knew, Hollie Kelly and her kids came, my cousin Anna and her son, and some friends of the family!
Last night I went to McKenna's annual Pumpkin Party. There wasn't a great turn out since there was a USU basketball game and an Alex Boye concert. For the first bit it was McKenna, Ashley P, Sue, Ryan, Scott, Kiel, Daniel, and me. Then once the pumpkins were all carved and sufficient photos were taken it turned into McKenna, me, Ryan, and Sue watching Van Helsing after stopping at McDonalds and Sonic. Brenna did stop by to visit which was awesome. It was a good party but I was a little bit disappointed that I couldn't meet more people. I knew everyone except Scott and Daniel....
Today I am watching Carson while Chelsea is at work and Connor is hunting. We have been having a great time. We took a morning nap at the same time (which was only 20 minutes....not long enough) and we have been playing and he has been helping me with a poster for Shanna's shower next week. I just got him down for his afternoon nap which I am hoping is longer than his morning nap. He has his two buddies and they are taking a nap together: Gator, Carson, and Squirt:

More Projects

I made one of my snowflake tree skirts in a new color for a customer in Massachusetts. It is a cranberry red and it turned out beautifully!
I also made a bunch of fabric pacifier clips and discovered the Babyville Boutique Snaps and Pliers! They are awesome!
I also started making some baby bibs and I am pleased with the way that they turned out.
I did a custom blanket throw size for a lady in Arizona and it was great!:
I also found some new fabric that I love and did a burp cloth set with it:
I am helping to throw a baby shower for my friend Shanna who is having her first baby, a boy! She is so awesome that there were a ton of people to invite!

Craft Fair....A New Adventure

I am doing my first craft fair this Friday at the Pioneer Lodge in North Logan. I have been working very hard for the last few days getting ready for it. I had a VERY productive weekend getting stuff ready and I hope that it is a successful fair!

I made about 12 bibs, printed lots of business cards, painted some boxes and a frame for my price list, I made about 20 fabric pacifier clips, felt hair clips and made a tic tac toe color version bean bag set. This week I just have to get everything together and finish some burp cloths and make a tic tac toe board. I'm excited for this new experience and I hope it is a good one.
I also recently added 3 states to my list of states that I have CutesieBee items in: Louisiana, Nebraska, and Tennessee.

Birthday Cake #2

Here is the cake/cupcakes I did for October birthdays. I had nothing but trouble with the cakes from the very beginning. I got the one looking close to how I wanted it to, but then the peanut butter fell out of the cupboard on it and I had to try to patch it together. They turned out okay and after all the trouble I had, way better than I could have hoped!

More Adventures in Scanning

Over a year ago I began the project of scanning the family pictures. I got quite a bit done and then slacked off. Shutterfly had 50% off their 12x12 books this weekend and so I decided to scan all of MY pictures and make photo books of my childhood pictures. Today after I decorated 2 cakes and cupcakes for birthdays tomorrow, I scanned the rest of my pictures and spent the afternoon making the photo books.
Here are some great finds:

Tonight McKenna, Chelsea, Mom, Carson, and me went to Sizzler for dinner after the afternoon session of conference and then went over to Deseret Book's Ladies' Night. We all got a free gift for being among the first 100 people there although none of us one in the drawing this year.
The announcement this morning at conference was amazing and so cool. Young men can now go on missions at 18 years old if they are out of high school and young women can now go at 19 years old. I think there will be a influx of young women going into the mission field with this news!

Carson's Blessing

Carson was blessed on Sunday! He looked so stinkin' cute! He was also really good and happy the whole time. My dad blessed him and when they were up front while the other men were walking toward them, he smiled at each of them and then during the blessing he held still, was quite, and kept smiling at them.

Adventures in Creativity

Although I have been busy working more hours at Ipaco for the last week, I have made time for some projects. Here are the strip quilts finished:
Chelsea also asked me to make cupcakes for Carson's blessing dinner and I decided to do a fall theme. Carson even helped me frost them.

Although it would be really cool to have one of my items on every continent, I think it would be fun to have something in every state. That means as of today I am only missing these states: Oregon, Nevada, Montana, New Mexico, North Dakota, South Dakota, Nebraska, Kansas, Iowa, Minnesota, Wisconsin, Alabama, Tennessee, Kentucky, Hawaii, Alaska, West Virginia, New Hampshire, Vermont, South Carolina, and Florida. 29 out of 50 isn't bad though!
