Monkey Business

This weekend, Mom, Kenna, Chase & I went to Hogle Zoo with the Lindleys. It was a blast! We got to see the baby elephant, Zuri, and also the new exhibit of Nature's Nightmares. The boys were having a blast and Mayley seemed to like the monkeys. After some fun at the zoo, mom, Chase & I went to a swim meet at Kearns. He did so good even though he didn't really feel well.
The boys had fun seeing who was as big as a Gorilla, posing with the statues of animals, and playing around the elephant that sprays water.
It was fun to chill with the girls too as we watched the kids take everything in.

We all ended up leaving the gift shop with some friends and had a great time!

Just something kind of funny: At the swim meet, this duck decided it wanted part of the meet as well, even though the kids were much faster!

Chase is 12

Well, believe it or not, Chase is 12 years old. The last 12 years have flown by! I just have to say how proud of him I am. He is such a good kid with a big heart and a desire to do good. On Sunday he was ordained a deacon which was really cool. Since he is my only brother, this was a little bit of a new experience for me. We love him so much and it is still shocking that he is as old as he is!

Summer....so far

Well, I have been to a busy & fun start to summer. I have realized the older you get, the less summer feels like summer, but I am trying. Our family has a breakfast at the park every memorial day and it's really fun to get together with cousins and relax in the sun. This is my newest cousin Aaron Peck, he is so cute!
After our breakfast we went & took Chelsea's bridals. It made for a busy day! I have been working like a crazy woman so that I can pay off my school! It is great to be done, but then you see that you still are paying for it and it really bites! Today is Chase's 12th birthday! I can't believe he is that old. Since he is going on a scout trip today, we got together in Layton at Red Robin (obviously! Where else would we go?!?) and had dinner with the Grandpa & Grandma White, Rick & Kaily! Chase got totally spoiled and it was a lot of fun. We were all so stuffed when we left it was painful!
We met up at Ipaco after work and in a rush of the day, the very back seat didn't get put into the suburban. Chelsea & Connor quickly volunteered to sit in the very back on the way to Layton!
We were all so excited to be going to dinner & seeing what Chase would get for his birthday!
All of the kids! (You can only see part of Chelsea's face, oops!)
Rick & Kaily came to celebrate with us. We totally love them! We missed Brad, Michelle & Brooklyn though!
Grandpa & Grandma White:
Mom & Dad got Chase a basketball, a Perry the Platypus shirt, new scriptures with his name on them and a scripture case.

McKenna & I gave him a nerf dart tag set & fruit snacks. Chelsea & Connor gave him an air soft gun. He was so excited. Guns & Sports are the things that get him all excited!
After dinner the big excitement gift came! Grandma & Grandpa gave him a shotgun, Rick & Kaily gave him the case and some shells. He was so excited! Grandpa gave him the safety lecture while he was showing Chase the gun. I think the guys were a little jealous because they all ended up around the trunk even before Chase was over there!

Chase was so happy and grateful! There were a lot of big hugs given.
It is Connor's birthday on Sunday so we got him a little goodie bag of candy! I think Chelsea had plans of helping him eat it!

I love spending time with my family and am so glad we have been able to spend time with them!
Happy Birthday Connor & Chase!
