Change

My life seems to be full of change these days. I guess that is what happens when we grow up. Chelsea got married to Connor Balls on August 21st. I now have my first brother-in-law. Chelsea is the first from my family to get married so it is a little bit of a change.
All of our hard work paid off and the wedding was beautiful. We have amazing friends & family who all so willingly helped us with anything we needed. We are so blessed to so many great people surrounding us!
McKenna & I were among Chelsea's bridesmaids. Chase was an extra photographer and got some amazing pictures!
A lot of family was there to support Chelsea and Connor and it was so great to see them and get to spend some time with them.

It was a beautiful day and I am so excited for Chelsea and to have Connor as part of our family.
Sorry about this long post, but as you can tell, there have been a lot of changes in my life. The next change did not just affect me, but also a lot of young single adults in Cache Valley. They did away with student wards and now they are all YSA wards. They made 2 new YSA stakes: Smithfield & Providence. As a result the branch I have been attending for a year is now a ward. Also as part of this, the boundaries are being strictly followed. You attend where you live and there aren't exceptions. I LOVE my ward and was not about to leave it. So another change occurred this week. I have moved home. It will be a bit of adjustment, but I know that I am doing what is right and the Lord is looking out for me and will bless me. Another change goes hand in hand with the change of moving home, it is leaving behind my awesome roommates Anna & Meredee. This would have been the 3rd year living with them. I absolutely love those girls and that is thing that made moving home so hard. On Thursday, we went to Village Inn for a goodbye dinner. It was a bittersweet evening for me. I'm sad to leave them, but I'm excited to be home (I think it is because this is the right thing to do and Lord is helping me out tremendously).

On Friday my friend Kayla got married. I really wanted to go to her reception, which was in Kaysville, but was a little concerned about my car getting me to and from it. Nyla offered to take me down and we ended up making a party of it. She, her sister Allison, her daughter Teisha, and Teisha's baby Dakota came with me. We stopped at the new Italian Ice shop in Providence, Zeppes for Gelata. It was amazing!!! Then we went to her beautiful reception and it was so great to see her again. I'm really going to miss her, but this is a change that happens. After the reception, we stopped at Red Robin for dinner and then headed home. It was a great evening and was fun to do something different from my day to day life. I have gotten completely moved in and so far so good! As these changes began to occur, I completely agreed with Sheldon from the Big Bang Theory when he said "Change is never good, they say it is, but it's not." I am learning that change isn't always ideal or fun, but it is a necessary part of life.

Change happens. We can let it slam us or we can steer it in the direction we want...our choice. You guiding your change and not letting it push you! Good job!
