A Great Vacation

Today we just got home from a great getaway to Yellowstone, Tetons, and Jackson Hole! Thanks to the need of an Ipaco board of directors meeting, we all got to go spend 3 nights in Teton Village! Our little family went up a day early and stayed in West Yellowstone. We spent all day on Friday in Yellowstone checking out all of the waterfalls (my request) and enjoying the crisp mountain air and beautiful surroundings.

I even stood right at the top of a waterfall and looked over the edge!! (For any of you who don't know this little fact about me: I am afraid of heights.)

We got to Teton Village on Friday night all exhausted and ready for bed. We were assigned to share a condo with my cousin, his wife, and their adorable 3 children. Also my great grandmother and another cousin close to my age. It was loads of fun spending time with them!
On Saturday morning Dad, Chase, Kenna, and I went White Water Rafting for the 1st time. We went with a white water rafting company and a few other members of our family which included an uncle, his 3 kids (1 of them is my age), a cousin, her husband, and their 3 kids, and then 3 more of my cousins. It was a BLAST! The water was cold, but it wasn't unbearable, in fact quite a few members of the family jumped in a couple of times. When the rapids started someone was able to ride "bull" (the very front of the raft) and Chase did it first! There were times when he would disappear under the water. I expected that this would be fun, but it was even better than I thought it would be. I definitely will have to go again!

We tried out a new burger joint in Jackson Hole for dinner called MacPhails. It was delicious. Then we went back to the condo and had a TON of FUN playing phase 10 with our condo mates and 2 other cousins who came and joined us. We stayed up until midnight laughing, playing cards, and bonding! :)
On Sunday we drove into Teton Park and went to Signal Mountain and looked out over the valley. It was such a beautiful day!

We then spent the evening vegging in front of the TV. We don't have anything but the very basic channels and home so when we get the opportunity to watch things like "Man, Woman, Wild", "Finding Bigfoot", and "Captured on Camera" we all soak it up!
This morning we packed up, spent a little bit of time shopping in downtown Jackson, had lunch at Bubba's and then headed home. It was a wonderful vacation and I am still not quite ready for it to be over!
