Springtime in Cache Valley

It is officially springtime in Cache Valley. This means that we have beautiful and very warm days and then all of the sudden we get snow or pouring rain! This weather has made work quite busy the past couple of weeks and I now am already getting sick of the telephones ringing! Also this time of year I have to work Saturdays. We open for longer and are much busier, so I need to be around to answer the phones. Since I am not used to working 6 days a week, I spend most of my down time doing relaxing and completely unproductive things. I have been spending a good deal of time watching movies & TV, reading books, and playing on my iPad.
Last Saturday the Griffiths family went to Old Main Hill to have our annual Easter picnic and to let the kids roll their eggs down the hill. It was the typical weather for the occasion, everyone was in coats and jackets, yet we are out having a picnic and getting sunburned. We didn't stay very long as we all had things we needed to do, but it was good to relax and see relatives. On Easter Sunday, Chelsea, Connor, and Carson came over for dinner and to hang out. We all had a good time and the food was delicious!
This week I have discovered another side effect of those crazy health problems that I had for almost a year: dental issues. I had a toothache last weekend and finally broke down and went to the dentist on Tuesday. They found and filled 3 cavities on the bottom on one side of my mouth and also found 3 on the same side on the top. I will be having those ones filled in a couple of weeks. They don't even know what is going on on the other side of my mouth. I have never had cavities before and I try very hard to take care of my teeth, then all of these cavities! The only thing that we can come up with is that when I was sick, I lost so many nutrients that my teeth just got weak and it was too hard for them fight off the cavities.
I was reading back to some of my entries from the end of last year and the beginning of this year and decided that I should do a little update about some of them. 1st of all, I got a Cricut and a Gypsy for Christmas. After using my Cricut for a little bit on our New Years Trip, it died. Provo Craft had me send it back to them since it was still under warranty. They replaced it and when I got my new machine I was surprised and thrilled to find that they had replaced my Cricut Personal Cutter with the Cricut Expression! YAY PROVO CRAFT!
As far as the new years resolutions go, I did take the rest of the cake decorating classes and it was so fun! I didn't exercise or eat like I am supposed to, see I am restarting that goal and hopefully it will go better! Getting on top of my finances has gone better than expected. I refinanced my auto loan through my credit union and my payments are quite a bit lower making it easier to pay extra on it. I got my tax refund back and was able to completely pay off my credit card and medical bills from last year! :) I actually had a little bit left over that I was going to buy a BodyBugg, but with the dental problems, my plans were changed. I guess that is okay though since I already have spoiled myself with an iPad 2 this year. Maybe a new goal could be that if I work really hard on working out everyday and I get done with my dental work, I can save for a BodyBugg. I am very pleased with the progress overall I have made on my goals and it gives me the motivation to make and meet other goals!
