Summer is Over

It is hard to believe that summer really is over! It is the last day of August for goodness sakes!
Things have been pretty busy and only got busier with the start of school. I am not in school (not at all sad about that!), but as a piano teacher, that job gets bigger and fuller in the school year. This year I have 2 new students (3 if you count the one that started in June...). They all live in River Heights, so I will be going to a friends house there one afternoon a week to teach those 3 kids. I also have my regular 4 kids one day a week in Smithfield.
My great grandma has decided to have me make the birthday cakes for our monthly extended family birthday party. She is paying me, so can't complain! In fact I am working on the September birthday tomorrow. I hope that it turns out the way I hope!
A lot has been going on since I last updated, nothing terribly exciting, but things have been going.
  • Chelsea turned 23 and we all met up and had dinner at Chilis.
  • Chase and I painted an apartment one weekend. That is all the time we had since we were doing it in a 2 day break between tenants. We got it done though!
  • After we finished painting the apartment, we got cleaned up and went to Salt Lake to a relative's wedding reception and met the Whites for dinner.
  • A lady in Alberta, Canada bought two of my tree skirts and so I put them together. As I was putting them together, Traci called and asked if I would collaborate on a custom order with her. The next week I ended up doing 22 fabric pacifier clips!
  • Connor & Chelsea's wedding anniversary was on the 21st, so I had Carson for the night. It was so much fun. HE IS JUST SO CUTE! He played with Grandpa for a bit and then he sat on my bed while I set up his bed. He had the giggles and so for 20 minutes, he would giggle at everything I said! In fact he started laughing so hard he tipped over and continued laughing! By bedtime he was so tired that he went right to sleep. He slept through the night and woke up at 6 am. Then we were up until 8 and the two of us took a 45 minute nap.

Last Saturday we took Carson to the apartments with us to do check-ins. He is just so social that he "talked" to all the tenants. We then took him to our ward party where he wowed all the people there and had an audience. On Sunday everyone came home for Sunday dinner and McKenna brought a friend. It was a great meal and when it was over, we all played Clue together!
Grandma Williams came to town yesterday and Mom, Chelsea, Grandma, Carson, and me went to Sizzler for lunch and then went shopping at Hobby Lobby. It was nice to see Grandma and I'm glad she came and visited.
