My creative outlet is sewing. I love coming up with an idea and then carrying it out. I do get frustrated if the project doesn't turn out the way I envision, but I am super thrilled when it does. This year I wanted to come up with a new tree skirt for my shop. It took a while to do, but I am thrilled with how it turned out!
This week my friends are having their reception and I have been asked to make the wedding cake. I hope that the bride loves it and I hope everything goes smoothly.
Yesterday I had the primary lesson which was on Nephi (the one in Helaman). I am always nervous about how the lesson will go because my rowdy group is so unpredictable. I am always trying different techniques of teaching so that I can find a way to get through to these kids. I ended up having the class just older too, which is great. Two of the three girls in that glass are piano students of mine and they are all very well behaved. I'm not sure if my method worked or if having older and better behaved girls in class with us helped, but they were reverent, listened, and participated! It was great!
