I have been very blessed in my life to have wonderful friends and to have the opportunity to meet more. My best friend (since we were High School sophomores), Heather is back in town to get married this Friday. I'm so excited that she and her new husband will be around after they get married too! I'm also very grateful that I get to be there to see her and her fiance sealed in the Logan Temple!
Attending the home ward has provided me with many opportunities to meet friends. Although I know that I made the right choice by choosing to attend the home ward, sometimes I wonder what the Lord's plan is about that, since it is one less place for me to meet men (possibly husband??). I have noticed recently that I have made AWESOME friends in this ward!
For a short little while, I got to work with Kaela as she was the primary chorister. She is so fun and such a great example to me! Plus she has an AWESOME family! As of Sunday, she is no longer the chorister (although she is still in Primary) and although I'm sad to not be working so closely with her, I get the opportunity to work with someone new!
A neighbor and friend (I also teach her son piano) was married on Saturday, and I was blessed with the opportunity to not only be there, but to play the piano at the wedding. It was beautiful and was so fun to see her so happy!
I have also been able to get to know and become friends with another woman in the ward (closer to my age). I am her visiting teacher. I've never been much of a fan of visiting teaching, but I realize that without it, I may not have gotten to know her. She and her husband are expecting their first baby in October, a girl. She asked me if I would be willing to help her make the blessing dress. We have been getting together once a week, to get the fabric, cut it out and begin sewing it. On Saturday we just ended up pulling the whole afternoon to finish it! She was such a trooper. I was sore from sitting in the "sewing position" and I'm not 8 months pregnant! We got this special, beautiful dress done:
I'm sad that we probably won't be spending as much time together now that it is done, but I'm so grateful that we were able to spend time together and start developing a friendship.
The Lord is blessing me with wonderful friends that serve me, teach me, love me, and that I can do the same for!

What a beautiful blessing dress!! Way to go!!! So grateful for your friendship and example as well! I'm glad I at least still get to be with you in primary. We'll have to start a monthly craft night or girls night in or out or bunco or book group or dinner/food group so we can hang out more!!
