A Good Week

This week was a good one!

On Tuesday Carson and I got to go to Willow Park and visit my friend Kayla, her husband and their two kids. They live in Farmington and it has been too long since I have seen my friend. Her husband was interviewing for a job in Logan, so they came up for a couple of hours and we all met at the park. Her daughter is a few months older than Carson and they seemed to enjoy playing together once they got past the "mine" thing.
It was wonderful to kind of catch up with Kayla and it would be so great if he gets the job and I can see them more often! While I was at the park, I got a phone call from a guy that a friend set me up with. We had been missing each other for a few days and we were finally able to touch base. We set up a date for Thursday evening. {This is what pathetic looks like} I had not been on a date in 5 years and my last date was a NIGHTMARE! I was a little bit nervous for the days leading up to it, but about 15 minutes before I was so nervous that I was almost sick. We went mini golfing and it was so much fun. He was easy to talk to and I had a really good time. Now I can say that my last date was a good one.
My friend, Heather, is having her first baby and it is a boy. They inherited a carseat that was pink and brown, so she asked me to recover it. The carseat part was a lot easier than I had anticipated, but the canopy part was just as hard as I had expected. I hope she likes it and all of the other goodies that me and my mom sent her. Yes she is spoiled!!!! My mom made her a hooded towel and I re-did her carseat and then sent her the baby wrap I got for her birthday along with a bunch of other things that I have collected and made since she visited in April. I'm so excited for her to be a mom and I can't wait to meet her son!
This week I also got my hair done which is great because that means I get to chat with a good friend and get pampered!
We also had yesterday and today off work for the holiday. Dad and Chase left for Glacier yesterday morning, so this year it was just us girls for the holiday. Yesterday I got to sleep in and then Chelsea and Carson came over for lunch. McKenna also came up and we went to Firehouse for lunch. Then Chelsea and Carson headed home and we ran errands in Logan. Then we rented Thor 2 which was pretty good. Today mom and I were able to catch up on housework as well as getting to have some downtime.
