Always Starting, Rarely Finishing

Okay so I am GREAT at starting projects and coming up with the ideas, but finishing...not so much. {I have a quilt that only needs to have the binding put on, but I just haven't gotten around to it since I was 15. Not that I have been too busy to do projects or anything...}

This whole yellow rubbermaid--full of started, but unfinished projects.
I have a bit of an obsession with fabric, particularly baby fabric. Think whatever you may...but here are my reasons for this preference:
  • So cute & usually sooooo soft
  • I can come up with more project ideas using that fabric
  • My friends are all having babies (most of them are either expecting baby 2 or already have 2) and then I can give them a more meaningful gift
Okay so I have grounded myself from buying anymore fabric until ALL of my started projects are completed. Today after work I pulled out my started projects and found this:
See how they were started and that is it. Well after an afternoon of trying to 'catch' up on my projects:
7 burp cloths and 2 receiving blankets completed!!!!!
These two quilts are now 70% done, that means I have to find ALL my motivation to finish them by Sunday. {This is my personal goal for this week} {I only set it today, Thursday}
Maybe I can get myself out of the rut of starting but never finishing. I may have to ground myself more often.

Now I have to go clean my room and find something sweet since I worked so hard!

THey are so cute! I, too, need to ground myself until I complete unfinished projects. I am terrible!
