It is beginning to look and feel like spring and I love it! Carson has also noticed and thinks we should be outside all of the time. He loves to just run around on the grass, throw balls, and ride his bike.
Work has been stressful for me, thanks to my anxiety crap, it is feeling more stressful than it probably should. My boss is going on a month long cruise so he has been training me on tons of CFO stuff that will need to be done while he is gone, it has been stressing me out. I have never clenched my teeth before, but I have been dreaming about work and I have a VERY sore jaw. Lovely.
I went and baby-sat on Tuesday night for a gal in my ward. She is in the young women and her husband is out of the state for an internship for a few months. I will be watching her 3 boys the first Tuesday of the month until he gets back. She has a 5 year old, a 3 year old, and a 1 year old. They are pretty cute boys and for their ages I was very impressed at how they talk to each other. The 3 year old made a car out of legos (what gave away it was a car was him telling us). His older brother replied with an enthusiastic, “That is so awesome!” Later when the little brother threw a ball and it hit the 5 year old in the side of the head, I was pleasantly surprised when he didn’t yell at his brother, throw anything back or retaliate in any way. He just cried for a little bit and then they went on playing.
This weekend my friend is having a CutesieBee “party” at her house. I am taking my entire inventory and we are going to visit and have treats open house style. I am hoping that I sell some stuff! So to prepare for that, I have been sewing up a ton of things. It has been nice to have a deadline to get me going!
On Friday when Connor came to pick up Carson, they were wrestling for a minute and Carson somehow hurt his thumb. At first he just showed us what hurt and asked for an ice pack. Within a few minutes, however, he was freaking out and shaking. He wouldn’t let anyone touch it or look at it and just wanted the ice pack to stay on his finger. After panicking for an hour, his parents decided to take him to Instacare just to make sure there was nothing wrong. He still was freaking out until they took them back to the exam room. Go figure! Then he was just fine running around and using his hand. The doctor thinks that he just bent his thumb too far back and hurt the tendon. I think they did an x-ray just to be sure, but said that if he would let them, to just keep an ice pack on it for the swelling. We were going to have a sleepover on Friday night and once they left the doctor’s, Carson decided that he still wanted to come over. He came over and we played for a while. He understood that he was sleeping over because he would climb up on my bend and lay down. Then he would tell me to lay down and go to sleep! We colored for a while and he loves to color and tell me what his scribbles are supposed to be.

He is so spoiled because before bed, mom and I loaded him up and we went and got ice cream. Then we got ready for bed and went to sleep. He fell asleep really well and I was amazed that he never once kicked me in the ribs or anything during the night. He moved a lot, but he always stayed on his side of the bed. He woke up at 6:45 on Saturday morning and said “Na-nae, I need pancakes.” We got up and had pancakes for breakfast and then played until about 10 when his mom came to get him.
I worked most of Saturday on sewing and getting ready for this party at Shanna’s. It was so hard getting up yesterday with Daylight Saving. They were announcing the birthdays this week in primary and Kim said, “It is McKenzie’s birthday but she isn’t here so if you see her wish her a happy birthday.” I thought, “Oh yeah, McKenzie’s birthday is in March. Oh wait, that means my birthday is this week.” I had forgotten! Kim played the piano so they could sing to me. Because I am there for both senior and junior primary, I was sang to twice! During primary the kids acted out the story of Alma the Younger and his repentance. They were so cute, especially the junior primary kids. I loved it! It is one of my favorite stories from the Book of Mormon!
On Sunday we had our family birthdays for March and April. There are a lot! After we had cake and ice cream, we went outside and Carson rode his bike around the driveway. He is so cute riding that little bike! He is growing up so fast! It was nice to be outside and visit with cousins!
Monday after Carson was picked up I went on a mad sewing spree until Shiloh came over. I had a couple of orders and then I threw a couple of new things to get ready for the party this weekend. Yesterday afternoon, Mom, Carson, and I went to ADORNit and got more fabric. He was a maniac. He just ran around the store and made the girls there just giggle. I felt bad for how crazy he was and they said that he his nothing compared to some of the kids that go in there. Then we went home and mom and me worked in what she called the “CutesieBee sweat shop”. I got all of my inventory out and we sorted them and made a record of exactly what I have. Then mom sewed for a bit while I did that, then we switched. I have 84 burp cloths, 20 blankets, and 7 carseat covers in my inventory. I also have some aprons, pacifier clips, bibs, and hair clips! I really hope that everyone will be able to find something they love in the many options available!
