Our family went on a vacation to our grandparent's house in Manila (by Flaming Gorge). We all left Friday after work and I rode with Chelsea, Connor, and Carson. Carson was so excited to have someone in the back seat and he was a champ about the 4 hour car ride.
On Saturday I watched Carson while Chelsea and Connor went out on the boat with the others. It was nice to just relax and spend time with my favorite little guy. Since Carson didn't sleep well in the trailer with his parents on Friday night, he slept in the house with me and McKenna. He did great. He screamed right before he fell asleep, but then he slept all night in the pack and play. Then Chelsea and Connor wanted to go back out on the boat before they left so I watched Carson again on Sunday afternoon while they went out to the lake. After a great dutch oven dinner, Chelsea, Connor, McKenna, and Carson left for home.
On Monday I started working on cards that I took to work on. (I made 64 cards) Then we took a break to go to a nice cool lake and have a picnic for Grandpa's birthday. It was also nice to be in the cool mountain breeze. We walked over to the lake and then drove back to the house. We then relaxed and watched both Sherlock Holmes movies. On Tuesday we were going to go out on the lake, but while the guys were out fishing on Tuesday morning, they started to have boat trouble, so we didn't go. Instead I worked out cards and relaxed. Throughout the days we would check on the status of the wildfires and watched the news.
This morning we cleaned up the house and packed the cars. Then we had hamburgers and hot dogs and headed home. We came home to a four point buck in our back yard, so dad & Chase took pictures. It is nice to be home, but it would be great if the house would cool down faster.
