First of all, the thing that I love most about this time of year is the blossoming trees and wonderful smells! {Also that it is warming up, but isn't miserable hot} Last night as I walked home down the quiet, dark street from a friend's house, the smell of flowers and blossoms was overwhelming. During the day I often smell the two trees in our yard as I walk past them, but last night I could smell all of them the whole way home. It was wonderful! This morning as I got in my car to go to work, I couldn't resist taking pictures of our beautiful, buzzing trees.
I've been cleaning my stuff out and reorganizing. Along the way I have found old photos, trophies, notes and keepsakes. It keeps taking me down memory lane and I love it! In my box of blankets I found my lanyards and tags from the 3 years of EFY I went to, my Smithfield City sash and crown, and this trophy. When I think about High School, I often forget that during my senior year, I was very involved in FBLA (Future Business Leaders of America). I loved it! For being someone who does not excel at tests, that is exactly what you did at the competitions {at least in the areas that I competed}. I loved and did well at Accounting and Desktop Publishing. This is one of the trophies I won by getting 1st place in the Accounting division. I even got to go to state and compete. I did very well and I was so excited that my friend {she also has since married my other friend Jacob} got 1st place in Accounting in the state and when to Nationals.
I've also been gathering up older photos {recent enough that many were taken with a digital camera} and organizing them. I've already put some, but I found some others that I love, especially the memories that go along with them.
I'm still looking for my1st and 3rd years of EFY pictures, but this is from the 2nd year I went. I was 16 and my friend Jacki went with me. Although I passed out at that EFY and missed out on a pit and became kind of popular in a not so great way, it was still super fun and we made some new friends.
We were the league of commitment and we painted the guys shirts so they could spell it in our cheer. They thought it was really fun to spell other words to!
I have made some wonderful friends throughout my life. My "best friend", Heather thankfully is still very much a part of my life.
This was my favorite of my Senior pictures, I love the way my hair looked before PCOS wreaked its havoc.
This was the Williams grandkids {a long time ago} we now have more great members added to the group.
I found a couple others from my 16th
birthday party, one in which I am not taking the picture so I'm actually
in it. This is the fun gift my friend Julie Reese gave me. {I had a
huge crush on a guy named Heath at the time} I also kept the little
truck and Carson now plays with it!

My first school dance was a blind date to Homecoming. Although the date was awful and he was hard to get rid of, it was fun to be included and get all pretty. Kelli did an awesome job on my hair.
Speaking of Kelli doing an awesome job on my hair, she did a very subtle ombre on my hair the other day. I don't think my hair has been this light since High School and I love it!
