Custom Orders

I LOVE doing custom orders for my customers on Etsy. I know that for many people, this is the main reason that some people hate owning Etsy shops. Me, I love being able to do new projects that I may not have thought to do or even if I had thought about it, didn't have the time. When someone is paying for it though, I can make the time! I have a wonderful customer in Arizona who spends most of her time in the hospital. She has me make soft and fluffy quilts for her so that she can have something bright and happy at the hospital with her. She is so AWESOME and loyal! Most of the time, she just selects the fabrics and in some cases has them sent to me and then just tells me to do what I think is best! It takes a lot of the stress of miscommunication away. This Christmas season I have not been as busy as in the past, but most of my orders have been custom. I have done a decorative pillow, large toddler blankets, tree skirts, and then another twin size blanket for my Arizona customer! Since Christmas is next week, I was wondering when I was going to get this all finished. Nyla was so awesome to let me take the day off work yesterday and mom distracted Carson. I ended up doing a tree skirt on Tuesday, a tree skirt on Wednesday and then spent the entire day working on this twin size quilt. I finished it and was able to send it to her today. It should be to her by Christmas! She picked one of ADORNit's owl fabrics that I have in my shop and then had some others sent to me!

Tomorrow we were supposed to go to Pocatello for a family Christmas party, but due to the storms that we are supposed to have this weekend, it was cancelled. On the bright side, that means that dad, mom, and I get to go to a couple in our ward's sealing! She is my visiting teaching partner and is really a sweet gal. So tomorrow we will be going to a sealing and then to the Griffiths Christmas party in the evening.
